THE BLACK DRUM: AN EXTRAORDINARY DEAF MUSICAL!
An extraordinary, signed musical to elevate the Deaf community’s “place” in the Canadian arts landscape.
Faces, hands and movements are our words. In The BLACK DRUM, signed musical by Deaf Canadian playwright Adam Pottle, Deaf actors tell their story through tattoo art, physical theatre, signed music and dance while motion capture enhances their graceful rhythms. A co-production of the DEAF CULTURE CENTRE with Soulpepper Theatre.
